How will the Global Leadership Fellows programme contribute to the achievement of my professional objectives?
I see my participation in the Global Leadership Fellows programme as the culmination of my 20-year-long career. My focus has always been to move companies forward through effective communication with projects that also contribute to society as a whole.
In Russia I founded the only foreign media award: The Moscow Times Awards. The goal was to create an event that would provide a platform for dialogue between the expat community and representatives of the business, diplomatic and cultural sphere.
For the business daily Vedomosti and The Moscow Times, I organized multiple events and published supplements on the specific topic of inter-country ties between Russia and other governments. If I were to join the WEF programme, it would open a door into a whole new world of international dialogue and give me unique access to a multicultural atmosphere that I would never be able to find at home. At the same time, I could be helpful in getting closer contacts with Russian businesses, government officials and media.
The communication sphere is facing big challenges: on the one hand the appearance of new technologies will drastically improve the quality of life, on the other there is the task of international cooperation on quality and safety control on its application.
I hope that the WEF's mission and the experience that I can gain from this programme will equip me with a global outlook and a whole range of instruments to help me move the world a step closer towards more transparency, the spreading of knowledge, and the safe use of revolutionary technologies in improving communication.
